COMPUTER VIRUSES AND WORMS. Your editors have been inundated by
mailings of the W32.Sircam.Worm@mm discovered on 17 July 2001.
We urge you to read the details at the URL below. If your system
has already been infected, a tool is available and for those who
for whatever reason are unable to use it, there are instructions
for cleaning your system by hand. Briefly, this worm arrives as
an e-mail message with a random subject which will be the same
as the file name of the attachment. The e-mail attachment is a
file taken from the sender's computer and will have a .bat,
.com, .lnk or .pif extension added to it. The message body will
be semi-random, but will always contain one of the following two
lines (either English or Spanish) as the first and last
sentences of the message. Spanish Version: First line: Hola como
estas ? Last line: Nos vemos pronto, gracias. English Version:
First line: Hi! How are you? Last line: See you later. Thanks
