State Coordinators,
The TXGenWeb Project will be having our 5th annual meeting of volunteers
April 27,28, 2001 in Atlanta TX. Given this years location is so close to
Arkansas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma we have extended an invitation to the
volunteers of those projects to join us.
We would also like to extend the invitation to anyone in the USGenWeb
Project that would like to attend. Many of us have volunteers that live in
other states so in the event that you have volunteers in this area we would
like to invite them as well. Please pass this invitation along to your
volunteers.
Our Asst State Coordinator Dana Thomas and the fine folks of the Cass
County Genealogical Society have volunteered to host this years gathering.
For those that have never been able to attend before this meeting is fun
opportunity to meet your fellow volunteers and learn about new tools
through discussions and help sessions.
We have not yet decided on what topics we are going to discuss this year
but in years past we have had sessions on topics such as Scanning, Advanced
HTML, creating graphics, new tools at Rootsweb, ect. In addition to the
help session we have good discussions and exchanges of ideas.
A web page for the meeting has been set up at
http://www.rootsweb.com/~txcass/txgenweb/meeting.htm
Thanks
Trey Holt
TXGenWeb State Coordinator
