Hello, after getting so great help from fellow genwebber I am pleased to
say that a new and improved Phillips County gen web page will be up and
running in a few days. I got distracted and put it on hold when I found
out my grand daughter has brain cancer. I will let you know when it goes
live

Douglas County is here!
Nothing new going on other than updating some broken links.
Not to stir up anything from the earlier email strings, but I just wanted
to encourage everyone to keep up the good work. Yes, we are all
volunteers, but we are also providing resources that are not necessary
provided on other popular volunteer or paid genealogy sites. We provide
another resource location for all the genealogists out there and we also
provide information that can't or may not be found in the genealogy
internet "main stream".
To provide an example, I've been trying for years to locate headstones for
my 4th great-grandparents. I thought that either the stones had
deteriorated to a point where they couldn't be read or just "fell apart".
I finally found it by looking through the Wisconsin GenWeb site, and I
admit, doing a bit of digging, but the images were there. Yeah! So don't
give up and don't think that people aren't checking your counties just
because you don't hear from anyone. It may be that you are doing such a
great job that they found what they needed and don't need to ask any
questions!
So, hang in there everyone! And oh yes..... Happy Thanksgiving!
Regards,
Charlie Isaacs
