I got to go back there in May for my granddaughter's graduation from Sarah
Lawrence. We were only in the city long enough to get off the airport
shuttle, run to Grand Central Station and catch the train to Bronxville,
with a repeat the other direction when it was time to fly home. Traffic was
horrible, and looking down the side streets in Manhattan was just like
seeing it in a movie--wall-to-wall people walking down the sidewalk. I
think I'd have died from claustrophobia if I had been in that mass of
people. The run to Grand Central Station did not seem crowded, luckily, and
it was only a couple of blocks.

Home from New York with a cold but my son's graduation with his PhD in
history was terrific, great fun. Christmas was fun with 10 family members
in the Big Apple. Sure am glad I don't live there. Toooo many people!

Happy New Year. I hope everyone had a safe and fun new years eve. I
celebrated in my usual fashion. I ate a bowl of ice cream and went to
bed. My pillow and I were partying like crazy at the stroke of midnight.
At least I assume we were. Actually, I was probably snoring.
