Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

Could I talk you into resuming sending notices to COGen-L when you change
the URLs for COGenWeb pages on your county selection list?
I got a notice this week from a visitor that my archives Moffat link was
broken. I discovered that the home page name had changed with our new
county coordinator. I don't know how long my link was broken before it was
reported.
After I fixed Moffat, I ran my Site Manager and discovered that my archives
Mineral and Jackson links were broken too. (The Mineral home page name had
changed. Jackson was moved from www2.crosswinds.net back to
www.crosswinds.net)
Were there any other county home pages that have changed lately besides
Moffat, Mineral and Jackson?? My Site Manager only tells me that a page
exists at the other end of the link. I don't know if other Colorado County
home pages have been changed to new addresses and an old page was left in
place.
Its a dynamic network. If we get change notices from you, we can at least
try to keep up with our links to other Colorado Counties.
Thanks
Lee
The GenConnect Boards are for obits although I also post death records there
from time to time. Scott should probably post these cemetery transcriptions
to the archives, with a link from his page. On several of my sites, I post
the entire transcription of the cemetery on the site, unless it is a huge
cemetery. By the way, it would take FOREVER to post the cemetery
transcriptions on the GenConnect Boards. They are rather slow and you have
to post them one at a time. I wish I could find someone to transcribe the
Costilla County Cemeteries. :(

Well, I think you could have them send them in to the Tombstone project. But
if you want you could set up some pages on your county site for them as well.
I don't think the GenConnect board would be right for those.
I think they should be keep together in a "Cemetery" grouping. It is up to
you if you want to send them to the Tombstone project.

Don yes I did get the one's you had online. I can have Mary Saban send me the
other scanned ones, since I am sure she is not as busy as you are. :)
Thanks!

Subject: {not a subscriber} Saguache information
I am trying to find some way to locate a cemetery near Villa Grove that my
uncle said was on a hillside with lots of shale. He doesn't remember the
name. My great-great-grandfather, Samuel Cargo died Oct. 25, 1902 in Villa
Grove and is supposed to buried there, without a marker. His wife Susanah
and sons Frank and Fred may also be buried there, none with markers. My
uncle was told by someone in Villa Grove that there is a burial book. If
there is, how do I contact them? Are there any newspapers that have archives
that might have an obituary? I have not found anything in the Saguache
County Website that really addresses my questions, at least that I can
figure out. Can you tell me who to contact?
