Message Board Post:
Seeking biographical & genealogical information on Lewis Marion Cogdell [1840-1863] & William D. (or B.) Cogdell [1842-1862] both of whom served in the 20th NC Infantry during the Civil War. They are buried beside each other in a Mormon maintained Cogdell Family Cemetery in Wayne Co., NC. They are believed to be brothers, but I would like to prove it. Would appreciate names of parents, spouses names (if applicable), etc.
Thanks, Neil

Hi Gang,
Do we know in what period they were granted and to whom ? What feat did they do to merit it, I wonder ? I know there was a "Yeoman" Thomas Cogdell buried with his two wives at Abbots Langley, But I have not found any other gentry yet. Anybody else found any gentry ?
Regards, Ivor
