Hello Tom George Washington Cogburn (Little George) was my Great Great Uncle. I have heard my mom tell the story of little George many times, & this is what I was told. Little George was playing fiddle for a party @ Fancy Hill, & they was warrend that some people from Hopper Ar was comming to paint the ground red with Cogburn blood. When Little George, with others saw those people they picked up his gun, & started fireing. The people from Hopper were killed, & Little George ran, & was blamed, for it. He hid out for years, & the Montgomery County Sherriff made a plea for him to give up. He did & searved no time. He was born 25 July 1873, & buried in the Fancy Hill Cemetery May 1947.
