I am just now reading your posts...and since I am in the car have no information with me other than memory, but see a lot on the net regarding my grandmothers uncle- Little George. I have been to Fancy Hill to see his grave site and have pictures of him at home. He was also featured in several magazine articles...which I have copies of. I see a portrait of Francis Cogburn on the net and labeled Little George...which is inaccurate. I have this picture with his wife...Isabelle Beesley
Lots of stories about little George....best said in magazine articles, but have heard from my grandmother that he died young...at a picnic from a gunfight.
My email is: tdbeazley(a)gmail.com and would love to explore this, more colorful side of my family more. I remember my great grandmother Cogburn. I knew my grandmothers sister- aunt Margaret- who lived to 104(I believe) in Oklahoma.
I have lots of records and pics at home- as well as the family bible my grandmother left me. I will send you more if you are interested.
What is the Parker connection? I've heard my grandmother tell stories of Sarah Parker...connection to Quannah and Cynthia Parker...and heading west. There was a journal somewhere?
Teresa Beazley
