Thank you so much for responding. Please email me at parcher(a)umsl.edu. I have been trying to find a link to Lydia (Pierce) Flannagan Hamilton's line for a long long time. I ran across a query that Billye had posted years and years ago and she was looking for information on Lydia Pierce Flannagan Hamilton's family. She had a few bits of information there, such as my Great Grandma Flora Ann (Pierce) Jamerson's name (she was Lydia's older sister). She also mentioned David Lincoln Hamilton as Lydia's son with Jesse Hamilton. I just recently found them on census records and saw that she had many more children than just this David Lincoln Hamilton. I tracked down Warren a long time ago and called him. His new wife answered the phone and refused to let me talk with him about Billye or her family line. She was very very rude to me. I thought wow, there must've been some hard feelings there for some reason. Being as Billye had a query out there I thought she must've been a!
family researcher like myself. I just would like to share family info. and see if anyone has old pictures of the family, etc. I would like to know how Billye connected to Lydia. Was Lydia her grandmother? If so, through which child? I am at a dead end on researching the Pierce line and wondered if there are any family lines out there with any other information on them or stories that were handed down. I descend from Morgan Pierce (b. 1823 d. 1885) and Martha Jane Hines (b. 1828 d.c. 1872). Their children were: Matilda (b. 1849); John Robert (b. 1855, m. Charity Davis); Flora Ann (b. 1858, my G Grandma); M.T. (Morgan Thomas?, male b. 1860); Mary Ellen (b. 1865, m. Nathaniel Smith Jr.); Lydia Francis (b. 1868 m.1. Bernard Patrick Flannagan m.2. Jesse Hamilton); Salvader Theodore "Vade" (b. 1871, m. Rilla Jane (Powelson) Jeffries). I descend from Flora Ann (Pierce) Jamerson and her husband Willis Franklin "Dock" Jamerson. Their children: Green Montgomery; Mary Lula Ja!
ne "Lula"; Jessamine "Jessie"; John Morgan; Ira Russell (my grandpa);
Lenora Maybell "Nora"; James Presley. Morgan Pierce was born in MO, but he connects into the Pierce lines that went from Lincoln Co. & St. Charles Co., MO down to Newton Co., Ark. Also they connect with the White Co. and Searcy Co. Ark. Pierces. I just don't know who Morgan's father was. His uncles are more than likely George Pierce, Daniel Pierce, John Lindsey Pierce and James Pierce, and grandfather James Pierce Sr. But I just don't know who his father was. Morgan moved his family to Scott Co., Ark. about 1859 and appears there on the 1860 census listed mistakenly as Morgan Price. He moved his family back and forth to Arkansas and Missouri several times. I have been unable to find him in the 1870 or 1880 census records. Several of his children remained in Newton Co., Ark. marrying there and staying in that area. Lydia married her 2nd husband, Jesse Hamilton in Newton Co., Ark. Her siblings John and Mary both stayed in the Newton Co. area. Morgan died in 1885 in!
Lincoln Co., MO. His wife, Martha Jane (Hines) Pierce died about 1872. After her death Flora basically became the mother figure for the younger children and Billye even mentioned that in her query. They were very close. Census records show that Lydia moved to Texas and then to Oklahoma. Billye had in her query that Lydia died in 1917 in Oklahoma. I'd like to know if anyone knows where she is buried. Lydia was born in May 1868. She married first to Bernard Patrick "Pat" Flannagan on Jan. 10, 1884 in Lincoln Co., MO. I think that they must've decided to move to Arkansas or Texas and on the way he died. She must've had two daughters with him, Mary (b. 1885) and Margaret "Maggie" (b. 1887). He must've died about 1888. She next married Jesse Hamilton (b. 1859) in Newton Co., Ark. on 30 June 1889. In 1900 they appear on the Sandy Point, Brazoria Co., TX census as J. Hamilton, L.Z. (really says L.F.) Hamilton, Mary, Maggie and Lincoln Hamilton their children. All th!
ree children have TX as their birthplace. My Granny said that after L
ydia married Flannagan, she went to Texas. So she probably remained their and had her first two children until he died. Went to Newton Co., Ark. to be with family and then married Jesse Hamilton there. Then they returned to Texas. We next find them in the 1910 Cooke Co., TX census. They are listed as Jesse and Lydia F. Hamilton, children listed as David L., Jessie F. (dau), Willie G. (son), Edna L., and Oma E. Lydia is said to have died in 1917 in OK. We find Jesse Hamilton widowed and living in Frisco, McCurtain Co., OK in the 1920 OK census. His children are listed as: Jessie, Willie, Edna and Oma. This is all I have on Lydia, except a picture I have of her at about age 10. It is posted on my Ancestry.com public tree. Look for Patty Jamerson Archer's family tree. Also some pictures of the family are located on the Lincoln Co., MO US Genweb site. Go to http://lincoln.mogenweb.org/ and look under the Heritage photo album. Any info. that can be added to this fami!
ly would be appreciated. If you are able to contact Jimmy and Sue or Johnny and Sandy and share my email address that would be great. Thanks so much.

I'm not sure if you have been in contact with Jimmy Walker, but he is my step-uncle. Billye Cogburn was my step-grandmother but I loved her as my real grandmother and knew her no other way than as my grandmother. My grandfather's wife after Grandma Billye died, did not talk of her. Jimmy and his wife Sue at last I heard still live in OKC and there is also another son named Johnny and his wife is Sandy. They also live in OKC. I hope this helps.
