The family story is that my g-g-grandparents, William H. CRAMER and Ruth J. "Janie" COGGBURN CRAMER migrated first to Texas before migrating West to Oregon circa 1886, and settling in Idaho by 1889. see obit at http://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/usgenweb/id/gem/obits/g/gross5ob.txt
The most likely explanation I can see for a "side trip" to Texas would involve members of the extended family. Any ideas?
G-g-grandmother Ruth J. "Janie" COGGBURN CRAMER was the daughter of John Shell COGGBURN and Elizabeth Ann ALLEN COGGBURN, and the granddaugther of James COGGBURN and Jane Rebecca MERCER COGGBURN.
