Hi list,
I have posted this before but it's been a few years and I thought that I
would give it another try.
I am researching the COGAN family in Auglaize county, Ohio. The earliest
ancestor that I have record of is John COGAN born about 1795 in Sligo county,
Ireland. He married Mary SHERIDAN also of Ireland about 1815.
Children of John COGAN and Mary SHERIDAN:
1. Bridget COGAN born 1 Feb 1818 in Sligo, Ireland. She married Anthony
O'BOYLE about 1840
2. Patrick COGAN born March 1822 in Sligo, Ireland. He married Sarah MONAHAN
in 1852 in Auglaize county, Ohio.
3. John COGAN born May 1826 in Sligo, Ireland. He married Mary GALLAGHER
about 1866 in probably Ohio
4. Thomas COGAN born 21 Dec 1833 in Sligo, Ireland. He married Margaret GLYNN
5 June 1866 in Greene county, Ohio.
If anyone is researching this family or their descendants, please contact me.
I am more than happy to share information.
Thank you. Maria Mastin
