My name is Brandy Coffman Reed. Cortie was my great-grandfather. C.E. was actually a nickname for my grandfather, Kenneth A. Coffman, who was Cortie's son, and Virgil's brother. My dad's name was Ricki Van Coffman. Does anyone know more about Virgil's family?

It would be useful to have your Coffman line tested to see how it matches into some of the other "southern" US Coffman's. There seem to be 3 different lineages in the mix and more test results are needed to see if the current paper trails are correct. Check out the Coffman/Kauffman surname project at FamilyTreeDNA.com and email me if there are questions.
