I believe that you are looking at the right ones...no other Coffman family was in East TN at that time except the sons of David and Mary Ann (Lovell) Coffman...I think that the oldest son Lovell S also served in 1812. You can get a copy of the Muster Card. Am not positive, but think I paid $17.00 for the one which I got on my Grandfather, Jacob Maryon...You will have to Google the site as I don't remember the URL.

I don't know about Andrew or David Jr., but their older brother Jacob Maryon Coffman (b1777VA) served in Col. Samuel Bunch's Regiment, East Tennessee Militia, under Capt. Jones Griffin for which he received a Land Grant..

> Hopeing someone can help. Andrew Jackson Coffman born 1784 was an older brother to my 4 th great grandfather David Harman Coffman Jr born 1791 both born in Tn. I know Andrew offman enlisted and served in the War Of 1812, could someone tell me what Regument he was with, what Co. . I am asking because as I was looking at military records I found an Andrew Coffman East Tnn. I also found a David Coffman, same unit..so of course I am wondering if the two brothers served together. Since David would have been about 21 in 1812...it would be possible. Could someone please help me. Thank you, Miss Robin
