Obituary
Sara P. Coffin was born on September 14, 1840, in Churchville, Ontario. Moved to Blackberry, Ill., 1850. Attended high school in St. Charles, Ill., and Clark Seminary in Aurora, Ill. Married Daniel S. Coffman November 28, 1860, at St. Charles, Ill.
She spent on year and ahalf at Mt. Morris where our daughter, Lotta was born. In the spring of 1884we, with the entire Coffman family, moved to Colorado. The long trip was made with teams and wagons for there were no railroads built a cross the plains as yet. We found Denver an ill kept struggling village.
The trip was made in 34 days. We arrived in Nevada, Colo., July 4, 1864, where their son, Elbert, was born, after spending some time in the mountains the bought a farm in the valley where Longmont is now located. There our children Schuyler, Lura and Byron were born.
After many years they moved to Denver, Colo, from there they journeyed to Glendale where the men were engaged in mining.
Their three children all married and went to homes of their own.
In 1910 they went to Long Beach, Calif., to make their home with their son, Elbert. On February 8, 1926, her husband, Daniel S., passed away.
She then made her home with her daughter, Lura, in Los Angeles, where she passed away February 3, 1922.
LURA B. EMMETT.

I am trying to figure out my mother in laws birth mother. I do know from a census that in 1930 Frank William Coffman was supposedly married to Rose Coffman. She was 16 years old at that time and they lived in Hennipin MInnesota. Below is what I know about the two.
Frank William Coffman - DOB 10/22/07 in Minnesota
Parents William Lewis Coffman and Edna Laura Taylor
Rose Coffman 16 years old in 1930 birth state according to census is North Dakota and her parents are from Denmark.
I also know that he remarried in 1934 to Christine Woods.
Any help you can give me would be great! I know Rose had other children and Frank really got around so there are several children from other marriages.
Thanks so much!
Deanna Morrill
