Dan, is there anything in the book now about an Anna or Mary Anna Coffman b. abt 1820-1822 who married 1838 to Jeremiah Wyrick in Grainger Co TN. She may have also had a brother Frederick Coffman b. about 1820 who married 1839 to Jeremiah's sister, Sidney Wyrick, in Grainger Co TN. So far I have not been able to match them to any other Coffman family in Grainger Co TN
Thanks for any help.

Liz,
Let me know what info you need since I have the book. I am also the same Dan Coffman who put the original posting about getting it republished in 1999.
Thanks,
Dan

hello everyone. IT has been about 9 years since I last posted. Anyways things are good.
Peter Coffman lineage - How is your genealogy research going?
Since it has been a while. I wanted to reintroduce myself. I am a fellow genealogist and live in Odessa, Florida (near Tampa). I am also a part of Peter Coffman's family. Peter had a son named Joseph. I have a photo of Joseph's headstone in Granville, Ohio and his wife Margaret. Joseph had a son named David T. Coffman who is also in the Kauffman/Coffman book (I have a new copy of it). I have tons of info from David T down the line. I have a photo from 1897 with the whole family of David T and company. David T and his family and most kids are also buried in Granvilled and Cedar Hill Cemetary.
In any case, it has been many years that I have not dug into the research. I have 3 girls they are 5,7 and 17 which take up a lot of my time. I have been doing research since I was 19 and I had to take down my site at www.lock-man.com/coffman/gen/index.htm. I will be recreating a new one with photos and stuff. I temporarily have a link from my old Family Tree Maker website with some photos for and names available. http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/c/o/f/Daniel-A-Coffman/index.html
I am using Personal Ancestry File for my stuff but I can export anything.
My first goal with my research is to learn more about Peter Coffman. I noticied Sarah had some info on him but do we know his birth dates and death dates? I am also trying to confirm who his parents are even though I respect the Kauffman/Coffman book, I am curious as to why his last name was changed and also finding his actual burial location.
My second goal is to begin locating some other ancestors of Peter Coffman so that we can see if any one else has more information.
Feel free to email me dcoffman1(a)hotmail.com
Sincerely,
Daniel Coffman

Can you provide some dates for the birth of your father?
Have you looked in the 1930 census for data?
As board admin, I've changed the subject of your message from Coffman Origin to be more specific in your request.
Do you know what state your father was born in?
The more detail you provide as far as what you know about him, your mother, and your grandfather -- the more likely someone in the message board community has data to share.
