You might want to look at "1940 KAUFFMAN - COFFMAN FAMILY HISTORY BOOK."
An old damaged copy (Item number: 5571218477) recently sold on E-Bay, but you can buy a new hardback 2000 reprint (about 600 pages) from Lancaster Mennonite Historical Society, Phone 717-392-4633(OpenTues-Sat) for $65 plus shipping. Total will be less than $70.
I don't have a copy or I would look it up for you.

My Coffman line stops at Reason Coffman, who was born in PA (c. 1805), died at York Twp in Belmont Cty, Ohio in June 1837. Married to Lavinia Green 14 Feb 1828. Children: Franklin, Leander (my ancestor), Louise, Elizabeth and Harriet. I have a copy of Reason's will, but no relatives mentioned other than his wife and children.
Can anyone out there help me find Reason's parents????
Thanks

Robin (and other cousins),
Your info on the Michael Kauffman-Anna Kniesley (Kniesele) line leaves out Martin Kauffman, Sr (son of Michael and brother to another Michael) who were members of the first white settlement in the Shenandoah Valley (Jacob Stover's [Stauffer's] grant, ca 1729. The Massanutten Settlement around what is now Luray,VA (German and Swiss Mennonites for the most part). Martin (who was to become Martin, Sr.) married Jacob Stover's daughter, Barbara. Their son, Martin, Jr. (also known as Martin "White House" Kauffman due to the still existing "White House" near Luray, which served as residence, fort against the Indians, and meeting house for a congregation -- much re: "whitehouse" Martin online if you do a google search) is the one who married Mary Lionberger (1st wife).
<p>Martin Jr.'s son by his second wife, Mary Taylor (Mary Schneider, German for "taylor") was Benjamin T. [Taylor?] Kauffman/Coffman, my g g grandfather. >> line from Benj. T. = Jos. Wm Coffman (my g grandfather moved to Ohio, then to Logan Co. Illinois), Benj. Franklin Coffman (grandfather), Dean Franklin Coffman,Sr. (my father), Dean F, Jr. (me)

I am looking for descendants of George & Lena Holmes Coffman who were married in White Co., Indiana 24 Dec. 1890. In 1900 the family is in Union, St. Joseph Indiana. In 1910 the family is in Marion Twp, Jasper Co. Indiana. Children include Arthur (b 1896), Ruby (1901), George (sp?? 1903), Harry (1905), and Goldie (1908?).
In 1945 Mrs. Lena Kaufman is listed in a Houston TX obituary as living in Griffin, Ind.
I am researching the family of Lena Holmes (possibly Vida A.) from the Tippecano Co. Indiana area.
