Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

The March 17, 2002 edition of "The Sunday gazette" of Schenectady, NY had
the following obit for Mary.
"
Mary E. Kaufman
Schenectady - Mary E. Kaufman, 87, of Hamlin St., died Saturday,
March 16, 2002 at St. Clare's hospital following a short illness.
Mrs. Kaufman was born in Lockport, New York, and was educated there.
She was a counter clerk for 20 years at th Mt. Pleasant Bakery, and has
been retired for 25 years.
Mrs. Kaufman was the widow of George E. Kaufman.
Survivors include, one son, William E. Kaufman; one brother, J. Howard
Fitzgerald of Lockport, NY; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. from the Daly Funeral Home, 242
McClellan St. There will be no calling hours.
Burial will be at Memory's Garden."
