Marj. How are you doing? Glad To help and you are welcome. I wish our list
would be more helpful. That is why I started this helping to set an example.
I was helping Judy the other day and got sick and ask the list to see if
they could tell her what to do next. And nobody done a thing to see what she
needed. I'm so ashame for them. In my family we were always good neighbors
and always helped if others needed it.
I found another birth day for John Henry, b.July 3/1803 listed in
www.familysearch.org. You can contact the lady in Ill. who sent in the info,
she might have something else to add by now? I've seen Items for info.
about John Henry several times in the past. Seems like always in the south
like Ark. Texas. Now that you think it's J.H.
you might re-check places when you have the time. I'll also look as I go
along too. Bye Carl Coffman

Hi Monty In Indiana, Yes I know you can't and its because there is html
code in the address and aol won't let you use it. These address are neat
however because to get to them all you do is left click on mouise and you
are there. Why don't you keep your aol box and add a free e-mail with MSN
hotmail, and use it for your your gen Searching? A lot of us are doing that.
To get a Free mail box type in www.msn.com
and scroll down a way and you will see a button to push to join up for hot
mail. Then let the list have new mail box address and then your trouble is
over. Mail new address to me also. Regards Carl. I know you don't know what
html is but it the thing that makes Comp. work.

I've tried to post this request before, but got no response, so I'll
try again - perhaps I goofed.
I am searching for information regarding
Elsie Ann/Anna KAUFMAN who married George EYLER
in 1811, prob. in Frederick Cty, MD. I believe she is
the daughter of George and Elsie ? KAUFMAN and
may have had a brother, George who married
Mary EYLER in 1802. (Too many George's and Elsie's
to keep track of). I would appreciate any info. on
these folks.
Also, I recall looking at a book called The Lilac Bush, by
George Coffman, in a library in Hagerstown MD that had
relevant information. I can't seem to locate the copies
I made of that book, and wonder if anyone out there has
a copy, or could tell me where I could get a copy.
Thanks,

there are two different Coffman lines runing
into the Walker and Hill family.
the first is Rebecca Coffman -
she married William C. Walker
she is the daughter of David Coffman
of Jefferson co,Tenn and Limestone co,ala
the other are these two br and sister
Rebecca Coffman-she married Elijah Hill
Josiah Coffman married Ellender Hill.
do not know who the parents of these two were.
Ann
I'm trying to determine if our "John Coffman" could possibly be the
"John KAUFFMAN" listed below. Both were born in PA 1796-97 and those
are the only hints I have from an 1850 census. Unfortunately, our
"John" passed on a few years prior to death certificates in IL. (1774)
The family line of the "John" in question:
Isaac KAUFFMAN (1) b. 29 May 1718 Vaud Canton, Switzerland
d. 1802 Berks co., PA
m. Abt 1748 Berks co, PA
+ Catherine YODER b. 1720
Children of Isaac and Catherine:
Magdalena KAUFFMAN (2) b. 1751 Berks co, PA
Jacob KAUFFMAN (2) b. 24 Oct 1753 Tulpehocken Twp, Berks co, PA
d. 1 Oct 1824 Juanita co., PA
Barbara KAUFFMAN (2) b. 1749 Berks co, PA
Isaac KAUFFMAN (2) b. 1757
d. 1839 Mifflin co, PA
Christian KAUFFMAN (2) b. 1759
d. 1823 Upper Berne Twp, Berks co, PA
Stephen KAUFFMAN (2) b. 1761
d. Bef 1811
John KAUFFMAN (2) b. 1755 Berks co, PA
d. 1821 Mifflin co, PA
m. Abt 1782 Berks co, PA
+ Mary ???? b. ?
Children of John and Mary:
Christian KAUFFMAN b. 29 Oct 1783 Berks co, PA
d. 11 July 1852
Abraham KAUFFMAN b. Abt 1785-86 Berks co, PA
Benjamin KAUFFMAN b. 1790 Berks co, PA
Jacob KAUFFMAN b. Abt 1798 Berks co, PA
d. 1831 Mifflin co, PA
Henry KAUFFMAN b. 1801 Berks co, PA
d. Mifflin co, PA
Jonas KAUFFMAN b. 1808 Berks co, PA
(also 3 unnamed sisters mentioned b. Abt 1805, 1794, 1792)
* John KAUFFMAN b. 1796-97 Berks co, PA
*
Does anyone related to this family happen to have ANY information on
the above "John KAUFFMAN" maybe as part of an obit, probate, or
will? I have not found any indication of any religious affiliations in
our COFFMAN line so I have no point of reference to begin searching
Church records. Perhaps, someone familiar with the family above could
let me know what churches records might be helpful to start with.
Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
This is very good!.............It came from a Nissouri web page,Carl from
Wichita.
