Hi Cindy,
Thanks for all the info you sent, I was missing pages 5 and 13 of The Bunch
of Coffmans. I'm
still trying to sort through it all. It was a lot of additional info I
didn't have, I can't thank you enough.
Where do you fit in? I will send you some of my info soon to add. I'm
still receiving mail hit and miss due to the server problems. I haven't
received any list mail in almost 2 weeks. I hope this reaches you.
Always searchin',

Greetings to all the Coffman researchers,
I just signed into this list yesterday and I am so pleased to get my first
message saying that someone has a copy of David Coffman's will. Please do
post it as it would be of interest to me. I have known where it can be
found but have never gotten around to trying to obtain a copy. (filed Mar.
3, 1835, Limestone Co., AL, Will Book 4, page 477) I would love to read
it. I am currently following this line in order to become a member of the
DAR. Any Coffman research from this line would be most appreciated by me.
I am descended from David Coffman Sr. as follows:
Son: Jacob Marion Coffman & wife Nancy Walker
Grandson: James Marion Coffman & wife Ann Elizabeth Robinson
Great Grandson: James H. Coffman & Mary Elizabeth Norman
Gr-Great Grandson: James Reuben Coffman & Ella Lee
Gr-Gr Granson: Leecil Horace Coffman & Dora Bunt
I am especially interested in any documents that pertain to James H.
Coffman and/or his wife. Mary died when James Reuben was very young
(before 1872) and he was raised by his older sister in what is now Camp
County, Texas. I am having difficulty finding any document that puts James
Reuben with his parents. I have found a Land Patent Report from Washington
County, Arkansas that says he purchased land there in 1857. I also found
his marriage record in the same county just one year before (1856), but
they do not appear there on the 1860 Census. If anyone has run across his
name or his wifes' name in there research I would be greatful for the
info. Mary was from Bedford Co., Tenn.
I have alot of information on other branches of this family with lists of
resources. If anyone is missing information on this line, I might be able
to help.

I just ran across a transcribed copy of David Coffman's will dated July 12, 1833 Limestone County, Alabama. It will not OCR scan so I will retype it for posting should there be any interest from the List.
Apparently transcribed from (Will Book No. 4 pages 475,6&7 recorded by Robert Austin Jr. Clerk of County Court Limestone County, Alabama).

the names of most of their children, but have not found them past Andrew and
Buchanan Counties in Missuori so am looking for further informatin. Thought I
would check and see if any of you are also related to this Isaac and Sarah
(Isaac was the son of
Daniel and Judy( Catching) Coffman. The children that I have listed for Isaac
are:
Elizabeth, Robert, Missouri, Perry,Henry, Mary B. (my grandmother), Laura
Alice, Judith, Anna, Nancy, James, Nellie, Milton.
I hope this helps some of you and hopefully I will find more cousins.

Whose relative is this Coffman?
"Officers and men of the Texas army who participated in the battle fought here April 21, 1836, or in the skirmish of the previous day." (The Battle of San Jacinto where Texas won her independence from Mexico and became the Republic of Texas { a sovereign nation}). Later the United States joined Texas.

Cemetery Interment Lists on the Internet
</CENTER>
This web site represents a non-commercial labor of love to search the vast
expanse of the Internet for web sites that provide information of people
interred at cemeteries across the world. This web site is simply a directory
of all those web sites, organizing the links into categories for easy
reference. While many of the links point to USGenWeb sites, many link to
personal home pages, library web sites, and special interest groups. If you
know of any web sites that should be included here, please e-mail me.
A few of these links are internal links as some folks have donated their
cemetery burial information to this site with the understanding that a public
access web page will be created for it.

Betty,
For a minute there, I thought we had a match.
I have an Isaac Kauffman (naturalized in 1727 with Andrew & John Kauffman) who
died in 1738; his wife was Elizabeth d. 1751. They had children: Andrew,
Anna, Audrey, Elizabeth, Isaac, Jacob, Christian (1728-1799) who married
Barbara Baer. Looked really promising until I saw he married Barbara and lived
too long to be your Christian.
The names Christian and Isaac was a very common name in the family. There is
even a Polly. I'm sure you must connect there somewhere. There is a
Coffman/Kauffman book by Charles Fahs Kauffman. I have seen it at the York
Historical Society; believe it was written in the early forties. There are
some errors, but is a good starting point.
