Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Looking for descendants of Isaac Newton Coffin (1826-1914). His
children
are Charles William, Thomas Elihu, Margaret Ann and Albert Morris. I
have basic information on this family but I am gathering more personal
information and pictures of Isaac's children and grandchildren. I am
descended from Isaac's sister, Sarah Ann (Coffin) Street. Thank you,

The age seems to be OK and if was common for men to leave wives and
families
and go off by themselves. They often never returned to the first
family. Try
following this man and his sister.
There are other William Coffin, but they were living in NY. It is
possible
that he did go back to NY. Check out the 1880 Census on line:
