I am a descendent of Henry Cofield of LaGrange Ga 1912ish. His father I believe was named either Henry or John Cofield from a small town in Alabama. He was the son of a white man and a woman of Indian descent. We have met many Cofield's from the Virginia area though my father says we r not blood related. However, we physically look alike. He has done a lot of research on our family. I can get to that data but as I read so many threads of people mentioning the exact same data I have heard all of these years I figured why not ask? My grandfather Henry said his father died when he was 6 or so, so much of his history was lost. I have a picture of him.
