"Marta43" Castle Caulfield was rebuilt either during the Cromwell reign or
the restoration of Charles II c1661. It was probably a townland as I see
continuing references to it; so I am saying there were Caulfields there and
descendants over time as the lands were held by them. Is there any male
'Caulfield' out there who might run a DNA test at FTDNA--I know there is a
Cofield/Coffield surname project.
Best.
