I've posted a message earlier on this board. I'm not sure if this information is helpful, but here it is.
My paternal grandmother, Hulda Blattler Neuhardt Monahan of Wheeling, WV, was adopted by Henry Neuhardt and his wife, Catherine Coffield Neuhardt. Catherine Coffield, also of Wheeling, WV, had several siblings:
Ella Coffield (married a Delbrugge and then Henry Heintz)
Elizabeth Coffield (married a Cope)
Mary Coffield (married a Blattler)
Nettie Coffield (moved away to Canada, lost contact)
The mother of Catherine and her sisters was Elizabeth Coffield. I understand they were in the Wheeling area at the turn of the century (1900's, that is).
My grandmother, Hulda, married Leo Joseph Monahan in Wheeling, WV

I am looking for information on the family of John Coffield who appears as a 40-50 year old with a sizable family in the 1930 Washington County Georgia census. In particular, I would like to know if Betsey (Elizabeth?) Coffield who married Jackson Hattaway in Washington County in 1837 is this John Coffield's daughter, and if anything else is known about her.
