Dear Coffey Cousins,
For some interesting reading on Irish history please
visit Clan Cian's website. Cian is pronounced KEY- un
http://www.clancian-carroll.com/
I will have to talk to the O'Carroll when I see him next
and find out why our name does not appear on the
surname list on the website.
I know that it belongs under the Eugeneans of Desmond
but is not shown. I saw it on a large descendents chart
at the Clan Cian tent when I became a member.
The Chief lives in Stockton CA and attends a lot of the
celtic festivals and Scottish games in Northern CA.

Dear Coffey Cousins,
I was looking at the coat of arms on the Coffey Cousins
website and was wondering what was written on the
banner under the shield.
I can't recall the exact heraldic term for the inverted chevron
across the shield but the pattern of those funny black
things on white represents ermine which may signify
royalty. Does anyone have more information about the
coat of arms?
Does anyone have a history of O'Coffey/Coffey in Ireland?

Looking for information on David Coffey born early 1900, Edward Coffey born
early 1900, in Woodbridge New Jersey. They were the sons of Charles Coffey
and Agnes Dunham. I believe David may have lived in New Brunswick area
before he died, Edward Coffey lived in Union, Rahway and Nevada before he
died. Would like to contact family. Thank you
Verna,
I believe we might have a match here. My mother's father was a James Alton
Coffey and his father was Cornelius Coffey. They all resided in Jersey
City. In old Jersey City Directiories I found Cornelius listed at the same
address as a Daniel, Peter and Ssrah Coffey. I don't have much on this
side of the family but I would love to compare notes and talk to you. Please
contact me.
Janet
Raymond Coffee,
Your Napier surname goes back to early Fluvanna County, Virginia, middle
1700's. There is a Bed & Breakfast near Palmyra, VA, which had been a
Napier Homestead. The Napier's were witnesses on several of a 4th Great
Grandfather of mine.

Grace, Nebuzaradan ws the son of Chesley Coffey and Jane Cleveland. Chesley,
Coffey, Jr., who married Margaret "Mary" Baldwin, was Nebuzaradan's brother.

Greetings:
Is the Coffey Cousins Convention always held on the first weekend of May? I
would like to plan my next year's work schedule to include it. How can I
subscribe to the Coffey Cousins newsletter I have heard about?
Charla Shamhart
Strange ! I would not have tried to open it up but I made a new connection
with a New line of our Coffey family & talked to them the day before & they
had my email address and I thought that it was from them because it said "
Sorry about Yesterday , TOO !
Evelyn
Hi Patti,
Thank you for answering my post. This family is SOOOO confusing! I had
another answer that says Nebuzaraden was married to Mary E Saunders not
Nathan! What I do know about my line,
gf; Charlie Pool
ggf Stephen H. Pool md; Margaret Ellen Coffey in Lavaca Tx.
gggf William S. Coffey md: Elizabeth Schuyler
I was told next was Nathan Coffey md: Mary Saunders
but have no documented proof. Stephen and Margaret named a son John
Saunders Pool and by the way John had a son Walter Millis that married a
Essie D'Spain. They were from around Tom Green Tx.
I would very much like to exchange information. Much of what I do have from
Nathan back to Chesley Sr. was taken from the book James B. Coffey Vol. 2
Ancestors.
I use Family Tree Maker.
Thanks so much
Dena

Good morning,
I'm new to this list and yesterday I put up a query on my Coffee/Coffey's. This morning I had 2 e-mails from a Raymond Coffey that had 2 virus'. The mail just said "take a look to this" It is the W32/Badtrans viris that has the names Pics.zip.scr and Sorry_about_yesterday.DOC.pif
I don't know if this person knows he has the virus or not. Symantec says it is possible he doesn't. The virus attaches itself to un opened e-mails and answers them. Another list I am on also had the virus and I had a list of the names it attaches as.
I thank the people who did ans. my query and will respond to them privately.
Please be careful!!!
Dena
I'm new to the list. My name is Verna( Coffey) Anderson. I interested in
finding more information on my grandfather's brother, Daniel, who
according to his mother's obituary in 1887, was living in Jersey City,
New Jersey. My grandfather, Cornelius Coffey came to America in 1852
with his mother, Mary (Sullivan) Coffey and siblings after their father
passed away in County Kerry, Ireland. Timothy stayed in New Lebanon, New
York, Daniel evidently went to New Jersey. Peter, John, Edward and
Cornelius migrated west to Illinois in 1856 with their mother. Anyone on
the list searching this line? Verna
Vicki: Who is your Williams Coffey's Father? Thanks Ray

With God all things are possible. Wa Do my friends and family. Love Vicki
Wi gi is Vicki in Cherokee.
I don't have Richard and Sarah Coffey in my database. James Turnbo and
Felicia Coffey (daughter of Chesley Coffey, Jr.) lived in TN. My husband's
Coffey line ends there. Their son, Andrew J. Turnbo, married Sarah Spain in
TN and then went to Texas in the 1860s. It is highly likely some of their
Coffey cousins went there, also, but I have no data on them.
