Does anyone know anything about the children of Salathiel (Sail) Coffey and
Anna Lynch? I am <assuming> this Sail is the son of Nebuzaradon Coffey.
>From deeds and court records, it appears that a Sail Coffey died in Russell
Co KY in 1835. His wife Anna was one of the administrators of his
inventory; he left no will. In a deed executed in 1840, his heirs are
named:
"...Levi Aulger and Mary Ann his wife late Polly Ann Coffey, Sarah Coffey,
Eliza Jane Coffey, Franklin Coffey, George Coffey, Lydia Coffey, Adaline
Coffey and Elizabeth Coffey heirs of said Sail Coffey deceased... "
I am trying to locate parents for my Franklin Coffey b ca 1803, m Martha
"Patsy" McGuire. Their first child was born in 1830; their oldest son is
named Willis. The information above would be promising, except it appears
that Salathiel married Anna in 1813. Other deeds reinforce my notion that
my Franklin is too old to be Sail's child. But it's still curious; when
was Sail born? Did this Salathiel marry before Anna Lynch, or does anyone
know anything about the children listed above?
I have transcribed the Sail and Anna deeds, if anyone wants a copy, let me
know.
Thanks in advance,
Carol.
