My husband's Clara Mae Coffelt married Julian Sweet in Antwerp, Ohio and then moved to Noble County, Indiana. I can't find Clara Mae's parents so I am stuck at that point in the tree. Wondering if this is the same Clara Mae as in your tree?

Oddly, my father's name is Richard Lloyd Coffelt. As I am finding, we are all somehow related here in the States and further back.

I found relatives in Austria as well when I was there in 1983. The family name was originally "Kauffeldt". and Americanized sometime in early US history. I will make contact at the provided link shortly. Thank you very much. :)

Collin,
We have a great deal of data on Coffelts. If you would like to send us your earliest known ancestor, we will try to help you make the connection you need. We can be contacted at: rands(a)htcomp.net.
We have the Coffelts documented to Germany, very early.
Sue C.

Cannot help you there, but I momentarily thought you might be my aunt Carolyn Celeste Coffelt...of which there are many close relatives in SoCal and WA State.

My grandfather William Joseph Coffelt(RIP) was, IIRC a second or third cousin.
The physical resemblance between my Grandfather and Leslie is remarkable.

Hello everyone.
I found this board quite by an accident serendipity.
Nonetheless, in all of my contacts with Coffelts around the country, it doesn't take too long before we find out how we're related.
That being said, I have come to the conclusion that all Coffelts are somehow related. Besides my immediate family in SoCal, I have close blood relatives in Washington State, Missouri, Kentucky, Tennessee, Hawaii and a few other places.
I'll have to dig out my floppy with all the info on it and would be willing to share with anyone in a genealogical pursuit.
