I have been researching my Coffee family now for ages.as far back that I go and that I am sure of is William Henry Coffee, born in 1851, I am not sure if he was born in KY or TN. He married Elizabeth Hickman, and in 1880 census they lived in Saline County, IL and have heard that he worked in a saw mill. I am ok from him on down, but Prior to him I am so unsure of. I strongly think he is from the Line of William Coffee that came here from Ireland, father of Ambrose who married Lucinda Day. Not sure, but I think there was another Ambrose in there too, I have a Reuben&Emily as father of Wm. H. Coffee/ HELP IF YOU CAN

Are you looking for African American families by the name of Coffee? I am also searching for my Coffee relatives. I have several good leads. I also have a relative by the name of Callie Coffee. She was the daughter of Simon and Sallie Coffee.
My email address is Ehoneywood(a)comcast.net
Hoping to receive a reply

Hi Mick,
Ellen Coffee (aka Coffey) was my Great Great Grandmother. She married William Jones in Ballarat in 1867. I found the names of her parents, and of her siblings Mary, Catherine and Jeremiah, but couldn't find the family on any shipping lists. Do you know when they followed Jeremiah out to Australia and any further details of Jeremiah's conviction re the goose? I've come to a bit of a brick wall otherwise. Thanks & Regards, Peter.
