While researching another Moore line, I've obtained the death certificate for Sallie C. MOORE. She was born 22 February 1899 in Gold Hills, Alabama. (Maybe Lee County?) She died 4 April 1958 in Jefferson County, Alabama. Her mother's name was Ellen COFFEE. If this is your Sallie C. MOORE, I'll be happy to send you the certificate.
I'm not researching this line, and have no further information on this family.

There are at least a couple of Ambrose COFFEEs who had sons or siblings named: Raleigh, Rolly, Rolley, Rawley etc.
I descend from Rolly COFFEE:
BORN: 27 December 1804, Slate Creek, near present-day Mt. Sterling, Montgomery Co., KY
DIED: 8 March 1873, Missouri
Rolly and his wife/family left Kentucky for Morgan Co., Missouri.
My Rolly is the son of Ambrose COFFEE, born 1755.
Rolly married Alia/Anne ANDERSON.
See Rolly's tombstone. If this link doesn't work below, then go to "findagrave" and search for "Rolly Coffee."
http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSln=coffee&GSfn=rolly&G...
Does your husband descend from this Rolly? If not, perhaps another reader will send you info on the other Rolly(s).
If we have a match, please list the names of your husband's grandfather, great-grandfather etc. and from which of Rolly's children your husband descends.
And I don't know of any relation to Gen. COFFEE to this Rolly. However, Rolly's dad, Ambrose, fought with Daniel Boone and was one of the first settlers in that part of Virginia that later became Kentucky--near Fort Boonesborough. They are airing old episodes of Daniel Boone on TV but I've yet to catch a mention of Ambrose... (just kidding!)
Happy New Year to all COFFEE researchers!

Hi there,
I just saw your postings on the Ambrose Coffee line, and my husband is a descendant of Ambrose's son Raliegh. Do you have any information on him? Also, do you know if Ambrose is related to General John Lewis Coffee (1782-1804)? I can't find a link between the two families.
