Hi,
I just reread you query and I'm sorry I don't have any more info on Robert COFFEY. All I know is that he was born in Rockingham Co., N.C. C 1833, the thrid child of Daniel COFFEY and Manerva CARDWELL, D/O Gabriel CARDWELL. There other children were James B 1829 and my husband's ancestor Nancy Kinner COFFEY B 27 Dec. 1832. Nancy mar. Josiah Washington BROWN in 1862. They lived in McMinn Co. TN. After Manerva died 1834? Daniel married NancyGIPSON and they had11 children.
I still don't know who Daniel's parents were. I have that your Robert Mar Louisa KINCHELO 27 Oct. 1853 in McMinn Co., TN. Sorry that's all I have. If you ever run across Daniel's parents, please let me know. Thanks. Earlene Hutsell eroch25(a)aol.com

I believe my Coffee ancestor was related, perhaps a daugthter to Ambrose. Her name was listed usually as Milly Coffee, although on one census as Emily. She married Lewis/Louis Shubert in Montgomery County. She was born 1790.
