I'll have to check whether he was married in Bedford Co. or not but I believe that he was married in Wright Co., MO. His father, Joseph Worsham, died in TN around that time and the family moved on to MO afterwards. You might check the Worsham/Washam site maintained by Dorothy Tuttle and Larry Washam. I don't know the name offhand but if you do a google search for David Radford Worsham their site will be one of the first to come up. I'll follow up next month when I return to the US

Larry, did David Radford Worsham marry in Bedford County Tn? I thought he was in McMinn county? I just found it very interesting because my David Radford SMYTH who would be David Radford Worsham's 1st cousin, lived in Petersburg Lincoln County Tn. Bedford, Marshall & Lincoln counties all join near Petersburg. I had always thought David Radford Smyth moved to Lincoln county from Washington county Va because Elizabeth Edmiston SMYTH his mother had inherited land there from her father, Col. William Edmiston. I know my David Radford was still in Washington County Va in 1836 he was a postmaster there but by 1840 he was in Lincoln County married to Jane Caroline Greer daughter of Joseph Greer. Did the Worshams live in Bedford Lincoln or Marshal counties? Do you know where Hannah Smith/Smyth Worsham is buried?

Hi,
Do you have any dates?
There is a J. W. Coffe? in the 1850 Graves Co., KY census with wife Leydia (Lydia?). J. W. was a school teacher, age 29; Leydia was 23, born VA, and children Mary, age 4 and Eliza age 2. Both children were born in TN.
Good luck with your search!
Jack

I was checking for the name Coffey in the Gangs of New York book, I did find two Coffee's. One was the member of a gang that would raid the Westchester Area. The other man ran a respectiable club in New York City. The mentions were very brief and it did not give any family background on either man.
