No apology necessary!
I can understand your confusion. Peter, Sr. was born c1705. I Inadvertantly transposed the date, making it appear that it was Peter, Jr.

My apologies. I was confused by your reference to 1750, thought you were referring to his date of birth.

According to my family records, Peter Jr who you are referring to had 7 siblings: William, Joshua, Catherine, Mary, Hannah, Lydia and Elizabeth. Would like to have some confirmation on these if anyone has any similar information. I have 10 pages of research by an older relative which was passed down to me from my great-aunt.

Frank,
I just received information about Peter Coffee Sr. who is in my direct line. Migrated from Ireland and settled in Prince Edward Co., VA. I have listings of children, etc but no siblings of Peter Sr. of anything earlier. Would you be willing to compare notes?

Hoping I can get some help on this; not quite a dead-end, but the trail's
become faint.
I had dead-ended at my ggrandfather, William Wilburn Coffee, who was born Feb
12, 1876 in Hopkins Co, TX. I found an indication that he had a twin,
Williann, who died young, and I do remember my family saying ggrandpa had a
twin sister. Their father was listed as William Madison Coffee, whose father
seems to be either Edwin Cleveland Coffee or Eben Coffey, (son of Nathaniel,
husband of Elizabeth and Frances). Do any of these names ring a bell or link
up with anyone else's Coffee family? There seem to be a lot of Coffees in
Texas, and they're getting hard to sort out. ;-)
My ggrandpa's obit from 1972 mentions a surviving brother named J.M. Coffee,
then living in Brownwood.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Mary Ann was probably born in Cork about 1834. Married William Woodley (85th
Light Infantry in Ireland 1849-50). Children Alfred and William James born
in Ireland. Mary Ann was in the Cape Colony in 1856 with Woodley. Other
children. 2nd marriage to George Coombs, also of the 85th, and died in
Pietermaritzburg in 1881.
Anyone with information about my Great Grandmother?
