Surname: Harville, Coffee
-------------------------
In the family papers I went through, I found her named as Howell, Harvell
and Harville. Even her first name was spelled Sivilia on one paper and
Savilla on another. I wouldn't be surprised if her name isn't Sylvia.
I am still looking for our Coffee family who settled in the Durant area of
Okla. James Walter Coffee was born Oct 1897 at Durant. I believe his
parents to be William Coffee ( William P. M. Coffee or maybe William
Jefferson Coffee) and Sylvia Catherine Howell Welch (this was her second
marriage). Other siblings include Matt, Ada, Bell, Pearl, Myrtle "Ivy",
Dutch, and Frank. I have no dates on these siblings, or any further
information on the parents.
I had visited several Coffee web sites and on an interesting
note: On Glen Lee's Family Tree, the portrait of Rev. Claiborne
Coffee I showed to my husband. When his uncle died several years ago,
his mother gave us a chest of drawers that she had at his house. In that
piece of furniture was three old portraits. I have them all hanging
up. My husband saw the Rev. Coffee's portrait , and was swearing up and
down that it was the same person. I don't believe that it is, but the
resemblance is striking.(My husband's mother was James Walter's daughter)
