I am looking for the family of Elizabeth Cofer. According to Findagrave.com, her birthdate was in July 1819. She married James D. DeWitt on 10 Feb 1824 in Hardin County, Kentucky. Also listed on the index is Elizabeth's mother's name as Letitia Cofer. Elizabeth died in 1848 in Hardin County. She is buried in the Jenkins Cemetery.
Research that I have found online does not mesh with the information listed above. I found others' research that lists Elizabeth's father as Thomas Cofer who was married to Letitia Bush Slack. They were not married until 1824, so this couple cannot be Elizabeth's parents.
Elizabeth Cofer and James D. DeWitt are my G-G-Great Grandparents.
I would appreciate any help that can be given.

Please help us find our half brother whom we never have met. James Cofer married our mother, Marilyn, and lived in San Antonio, Texas about 1959. From a previous marriage he had one son, I think he called him "Jack," I am assuming at least part of his name was "Jackson" named after him. When my stepfather died in 1963 due to a plane crash, the only information we had is that his son lived in Tampa, Florida. We don't know whether this information is correct and we don't have his mother's name. From looking at public family trees, the information on him is private, so we are assuming he is still alive. He has sisters Cindy and Kellie, born in 1960 and 1961, who live in the San Antonio area. I am their older sister If you can help us find him or have any information on "Jack" please e-mail me at s.adams6900(a)yahoo.com.
