I finally got caught up with my work. It has been several years since I have worked on the Copher/Cofer family, and then I concentrated on Jesse Copher. Much of what I know about Thomas Cofer and his children came from Ray Copher and Mike Marshall. As for Josias Cofer, my information agrees with yours - it should since most of it came from you - ha! I believe the ancestors of Thomas Cofer are still a mystery - at least I haven't heard anything.
Take care.
Chet

Chester, Hope your still on line after all these years. You mentioned jesse's brothers went to KY with him, but Va records show Josias stayed in Bedford Co, where he died in 1814 leaving land to daughter Jemima, who at that time was the widow of Robert Salmons with two sons ages about 10 and 12. The following year she married Pleasant Dawson, a widower with his own children. Jemima Cofer Salmons had several children by Pleasant Dawson but I have no definitive information on them or their families. I would like to have data on the Cofers prior to Jesse and on Jesse's other brothers and sisters. JC Salmons

I am still here. Rather busy the next three days, so will try to get back to you next week. If you wish, you may contact me off-site at my email address below.
If you are interested in reading about Jesse Copher (very little about his siblings), you might want to read my article, Jesse Copher: One of Daniel Boone's Salt Makers in Kentucky Ancestors, Vol 44, No. 3 - a genealogical quarterly of the Kentucky Historical Society. I believe the issue is available online at KHS.
