I've "rescued" an old photograph of Mrs. Emma J. WEGMAN which was taken at
the Benjamin Studio in Cincinnati, OH. The photograph was taken in the
1900's with Emma appearing to be in her 30's or 40's at the time it was
taken. In addition to her name, someone has also written "Gram" on the
photograph. Based on limited research I was able to locate the following
information regarding Emma and her family:
Emma J. COEN was b. 5 May 1869 in Covington, KY to parents James J. COEN
(1837-1875) and Louisa MCCONNELL MARKS (1838-1899). Emma had two siblings
from the same parents, Elizabeth Louisa COEN (1872-1898) and Peter Matthew
COEN (1874-1953). Her Mother was married previously and had two additional
children, a son Daniel Augistine MCCONNELL (1859-1936); and a daughter Annie
MCCONNELL (b. 1862). Emma married Frank Julius WEGMAN (1870-1954) in 1890
and together they had 6 children including, Manola Elizabeth; Frances
Louise; Cyriac James; Lloyd C.; and Norbert Edmund; and Annie WEGMAN. Emma
died 2 Feb 1957 in Covington, KY and is buried in the Saint Mary's Cemetery
in Fort Mitchell, KY.
I'm hoping to locate someone from Emma's family so that this wonderful old
treasure can be returned to the care of her family. If you are a member of
this family, or you know someone who might be, please contact me.
Thanks,
Shelley
