So many Coen's, so many Patricks, most from County Galway and all
ultimately related. Do yourself a big favor, never stop searching and forgive
those who put you up for adoption. The reasons are emotional and not
understandable by anyone other than the parent (s).

My great grand father was Michael Coen from Galway born about 1842 arrived around 1855-1857 when he was 15. Around 1867 he married Anna Jane Cunningham. They lived not too far from Pittsburgh on the Ohio River - first in Brooke County WV then in Steubenville, Ohio.
Some evidence his parents may have been Patrick and Elisabeth Coen (Cone) but do know he had a stepmother whose biological son's were in Illinois & Indiana in 1905. Anna Cunningham parents were James Cunningham and Susan Barry who arrived from Ireland around 1855. Wonder if these could be related to your Coen raised by Cunningham,

Coens and Brennans related through marriage,
Kate Brennan married a Coen in early 1900s,
her brother was Pat Brennan,
some of the Brennan family emigrated to,
I think, Lynn Mass. between 1900-1910.
My Grandmother Roseann would be their niece,
she was born in the US.
Anybody of my relatives out there?
