have you seen the posts made by Katherine Kelly? Looks like she was researching or at least new about the same Lucy Farrell, she names the 2 husbands in one of her posts, but doesn't look like she has been on ancestry for years?

Lucy was married twice. First to Charles O'Melia in ca 1852 and later to John Roddy in 1863. Charles died in Pittsburgh, PA during an epidemic. John drowned in 1878. Lucy died in 1907.

Oh, you never know, there could be a connection. Anyway, what was Lucy's married name? Cecilia was born in 1821. I will keep your post on the radar. Sometimes it takes years. I love a good challenge!

Lucy Farrell was her maiden name. She didn't marry until she came to America. Sorry we can't connect. K

I saw your message, but I am a bit confused. Cecelia Farrell married Peter Crean (mispelled on translation of marriage certificate) in Ireland, then the family moved to the US and lived in NYC. Is your Lucy's maiden name Farrell or married name? Unfortunately I know nothing of Cecelia's family and there are no Lucy's down the line that I know of. (just thinking usually children are named after parents siblings or other relatives) Would really like to see a connection....
