I am looking for reletives.
My father is Homer Harry Coen (9/19/1929 to 12/21/1988). He has a sister who in his bible says her name is Lenore Sibley Coen Slack (Born Sept 03 1928) Nothing more is found.
My grandfather( who I had never known) is Homer Henry Coen 7/16/1902 dont know death date.
Grandma is Elizabeth Mae (McDannell pretty sure) Coen 7/24/1903 unknown death date.
Grate grandmother on Elizabeth Mae's side is Mary E. McDannell July 16,1879 unknown death date.
They all lived at 214 n.First St. Jeanette Pa. in 1938 when dad was given this bible from the M.E Sunday School there in Jeanette Pa.
Elizabeth Mae I am told owned and ran a pub for the Irish, as well as a laundry servace. My sister had misplaced the postcards, pictures and newspaper clippings we have of the turn of the century and later, she is looking for them. When she finds them I will scann them into computer.
I am told dad's parents came from Ireland?
Grampa worked the railroad, I am told.
My father drove ambulance, was a body guerd and other jobs there in Penn. He went into the army young, he was a cook. After moving here to Oregon (1966-1967) with my mom (Eva May Turk/Coen) and sisters (Diana and Cassandra Coen) in a hurse he got work on a sheep ranch until the Southern Pacific Railroad lines hired him. He worked as a carman and a cook the rest of his young life.
If there is anyone who knows anything more, or has any info on the business's of my grandmother's please contact me. coraliecoen(a)yahoo.com thank you

I think that my great great grandfather is William Coen, the son of Richard Coen that you have noted here. William (son of Richard) married Ruth Laughead and they are enumerated in the 1850 and 1860 census in Guernsey/Noble county. By 1870, they had moved to Urichsville in Tuscarawas County. Their children were: John, Mollie, Martha, Emma (my great great grandmother, married James Reynolds in Tuscarawas County), Rilla, George and Milly. Did you ever find any information on William's ancestors? I am stuck in the same place. I did find a book on Noble county, but the information seemed incorrect. It listed William Jr. (not Richard) as the husband of Rachel Gibbons and Elizabeth Brooks and Martha Johnson. However, the census data I have agrees with your account.
