Hi,
While I was working on the MARS for North Carolina, I came across Revolutionary War Soldier Levi Eldridge, who died in the Rev War.
I could not find a family for him - looks like his wife's name was Elizabeth.
I believe that his son was Frederick William Eldridge, b. 1778 NC, d. 1838 m. Anna Elizabeth Houser/Hauser.
I noticed that Isaiah & John Coe are mentioned in reference to Levi Eldridge. I thought that I would send this to the Coe families, with the following information, for your research. Wonder if you might have a connection to Abimelech/Abemelick/Abomelick Cole?

This is part of a story found on Ancestry:
Isaiah Coe Story born in 1761 died in 1836.
Isaiah Coe is mentioned on numerous occasions in the records of Surry County. On May 17, 1788, he purchased a slave boy named Will from Robert Smith for ?80. On August 12, 1788, he was named as a juryman to help decide a case between Daniel Houston and John Kimbrough. On November 11, 1789, he sat on a jury that heard a case between Elisha Simmons and John Glenn. On the same date he was named to a jury that was to hear a case between William Hughlett and Matthew Moore. He sat on the jury again in May 1790 and again in May 1795. He and John Hudspeth were named executors of Benjamin Hudspeth's will, August 23, 1792. Paid traveling expenses as a juror on May 9, 1796, he accumulated 126 miles during a seven-day period ___ placing his home nine miles from the county seat of Rockford. In May 1797 he was made executor of the estate of his father-in-law Giles Hudspeth. In August 1797 he and his brother-in-law John Hudspeth were appointed guardians of the children of Benjamin Hudspeth!
, another brother-in-law. On August 12, 1788, the court of Surry County acknowledged a bill of sale between him and Robert Smith. In February 1797 he and his brother John Coe testified under oath that Levi Eldridge served, and died, in the Company of Captain Joseph Phillips during the Revolution. This raises a question as to the possibility of them having served during the Revolution. It appears likely that they did, although no record has been found.
