If a kind soul has a copy of this book, I would most appreciate a quick review.
First of all, how well documented is the material generally, Second, is there a reference to the citation regarding a Julius Seward COE born May 27, 1819 in New Haven, Ohio. And third, is there a reference for the information regarding the wife of Julius Seward Coe, Mary Anna Szerdagekt VON BERLAN?
Thanks,
Ron

Carl, thank you so much for the info. However, Raymond's marriage to Malcolm Dolores was not his first (though it was her first) nor his last. Several years after he and Dolores were married, she discovered that he had changed the date on his birth certificate, had been married before, and had had a daughter. She never persued the matter enough to find out who the first wife had been and by the time my mother (Ray and Dolores' daughter) found out, it was too late to ask him. I ask here in hopes of finding my aunt and any cousins I may have. If this info becomes available to you or to anyone else out there, please let me know. Thanks!

Can anyone help? I am looking for info on my grandfather's 1st wife. His name is Raymond Coe. He married her in the early 1930's in South Dakota, Ohio, or Alabama. I do not know her name, but I know they had a daughter, whose name I also do not know. Raymond either abandoned this woman and child or divorced the wife and lost contact with the child by 1940 when he married my grandmother. He may have gone by Raymond Oliver Coe, Raymond Butler Coe or Raymond Oliver Butler. His brothers and sisters are Glenn, Inez, Ralph, Mabel and Sarah. His parents are Samuel and Olive. He was in the Coast Guard and/or Navy and during the 30's was stationed primarily in California, Hawaii and Alabama. Thank you for your help.
