Hi Douglas & Richard,
I am a descendant of Denman Coe's daughter, Mary Coe. Denman is #149 in the Robert Coe, Puritan book DENMAN6 COE (John5 (63), Capt.
Ebenezer4, Capt. John3, Robert2, Robert1), I have been told, although I have not seen the book. Clement (or William?) Ackers and Mary Coe's
son, John Clement Akers was a settler of Iowa where I grew up. I will check out your rootsweb information. I have a database with about 2000
descendants of Mary Coe and am also currently researching modern day Coe families.

Hi!
I am looking for family information for Emmeline E. Coe. She was born
June 13, 1818 and died Feb 7, 1872. I am uncertain of her place of birth but
I assume it was either New Jersey or Pennsylvania. Emmeline married John
McDowell Kollock ( he was from NJ). Kollock was adopted as a child by his
Aunt and Uncle. He was named after his uncle the Rev. John McDowell. At
some point he dropped the surname Kollock and became known as John McDowell
Jr. So I would suspect that Emmeline's married name was Emmeline McDowell.
At some point they relocated to Philadelphia along with his Adoptive parents.
They are buried in the Woodland cemetery in Philadelphia. If anyone has any
information on the family of Emmeline I would love to hear from you.
Thanks!
Melissa

Richard,
I just joined the COE list. I have been unsuccessful in tracing my COE line
back very far. I don't know if you can help. Here is what I have:
Henry Coe b. Oct 11, 1819, where, is unknown. He died Apr 23, 1878 in
Covington Township, Tioga County, PA. He committed suicide by poisoning
himself, and trying to poison his family. They survived. He married Irene
Covert, b. July 22, 1818, where, unknown. Marriage date is unknown. She died
March 23, 1886, where, unknown. They had the following children:
Edward Coe (my g-g-g grandfather) b. Apr 26, 1842 in Delhi, Delaware County,
NY. He died Oct 23, 1913 in Jamestown, Chautauqua County, NY. He married
Louise Nelson from Amity, Sweden on Mar 31, 1868.
Deasvignia C. Coe b. Mar 18, 1844 in Tioga County, PA. He died March 11, 1912
in Jamestown, Chautauqua, NY. He married Mathilda Fenton, b. 1854 d.1928.
Apparently, there were 3 daughters of Henry and Irene, but I have no data on
them.
Edward and Louise had 2 children, Myrtie Louise Coe and Desa Coe.
Deasvignia and Mathilda had 3 children, Ruth Coe, Earl Coe, and Clifford H.
Coe. All the above seem to have settled in the Jamestown, NY area.
Do you are anyone else have any info on these COE's?
Many thanks in advance.
