Sorry for he delay in my response. I don't have a Ruth in my materials but
have you seen "Robert Coe, Puritan: His Ancestors and Descendants, 1669-1910"
by J. Gardner Bartlett (Boston, privately published, 1911)? It has hundreds
of Coes.

Carolyn Shearer:
I saw your query re. Eliza Coe, I am looking for records to confirm data in
Amos Carpenter book re. Wm Carpenter of Rehoboth that Ruth Coe m. John
Carpenter in 1735. Do you have a Ruth Coe in you materials. This John
Carpenter family apparently originated in Jamaica, L. I. and went to Orange
Co. in the early or mid 1700s. The Carpenter book also states that Ruth
(Coe)
Carpenter married a "Mr. Thurston" after the death of John Carpenter.
I am also descended from the Jaynes and Woodhull families thru the Wisners of
Orange Co..

Hi Coes,
Since posting last, have found more evidence of the Coe - Carpenter
connection. A William Coe and Nicholas Millspaugh living in Warwick. one
generation later.

Joe,
To subscribe send email as follows:
to: COE-L-request(a)rootsweb.com
address COE-L-request(a)rootsweb.com
in the message area type "subscribe" without the quotes and you
should be on the list.
However the list seems to be dead at the present time. I've seen no action
from the list in at least three weeks.
