I've looked high and low on https://registers.nli.ie/ in County Kilkenny, Ireland for a marriage record for my G-Grandparents, Thomas Coady and Judith Phelan, but the only one I found was for 1844.
This can't be them because their children were born in 1860-1870 and a 1911 census shows them in Castlecomer saying they were married for 42 years (in 1869). The census also said Thomas could not read/write.
Thank you all,
Dave
Seeking info on Thomas Cody who came to America in 1876 from Ireland at age 16. They departed from Queensland. He was born in 1860 and came from Ireland with sister Bridget Cody. Bridget lived in Newark, Jersey City and Hoboken. I have found no trace of her brother a Thomas. Their parents names were Thomas Cody and Julia Phelan. They did not come to America. FamilySearch and Ancestry have nothing on him. Thank you all. I want to know where in Ireland my Irish roots are in.
