Yes. As I stated, BB had no sons THAT REACHED ADULTHOOD.
Bruce Garlow is BB's great grandson and adopted the name Kit Carson Cody (which had been the name of BB's young son who died).

As James commented, the name is Norman. Cody in Ireland is from Archdeacon but there are also English branches as well as French (Codie). If fact it the the french line that Wild Bill Cody is decendent. My Cody's (also spelled Codey)
are from Kilkenny and Wexford and immigrated in 1868 to NYC.

Yes I've seen this line for Georgia before. I've been getting stuff from others trees as well, and unfortunately for me the info was wrong. I finally got my hands on the Cody book, and filled in alot of the blanks from it.
But I still cannot find when my great grandmother died, did find her unmarked grave and in the process of getting that taken care of.

Hi AShirley69,
My wife comes from Cody's in Alabama. Her Great Great Great Great Grandfather was John Cody (born in 1803 in Warren County, GA and died in 1/1861 in Butler or Pike County, AL) married to Melissa W. Hill. His father was John Cody Sr. (born about 1760?? in GA and died about 1830 in Pike County, AL). John Sr. had a brother Edmund (1754-1832) Maybe this is the line you are looking for, they trace back to Kilkenny, Ireland. Let me know. I got all this from various family trees, and am looking to confirm it all though. Looking forward to hearing from you.
T. McDonagh (Norfolk, MA)
