I am missing an elizabeth cody who married a man from TN missing an arm from the civil war.
This man rode into town one day claiming to be Stephen Adams he was supposedly from TN. Our family has no history at all on him and not sure its his real name
They show up on the 1870 census as Stephen b1833 and Elizabeth b 1830. They had a Mary j,columbus, william, stephen and an andrew

I am researching my grandmother and grandfather on my fathers side of the family. All I know is that he my grandfather was married twice, his second wife was my grandmother Martha Cody Hooper. I don't have very much information about my grandmother Martha Cody, but I think I'm related to Buffalo Bill Cody somehow. I don't have any dates as to when the marriages took place or when they ended. My dad had 10 brothers and sisters, My dad is Howard Hooper. For as I know everthing should have taken place in Tennessee. I need as much help that you can provide and I appreciate any and all help given.

Old message but am hoping your addie is still active.
Looking for Cody's in SE Michigan and Chicago IL. There were two brothers that I know of...Frank and William. Am interested in William who married Florence (maiden name unknown). Am assuming William was born somewhere around 1920. Married Florence in early 40's. Moved from Michigan to Chicago. William died about 1953. Florence disappeared after his death. Frank was married to a Julie and they had 3-4 kids.
Any help is appreciated, Mickie
