Edward Francis Cody, #105564 is listed in Ancestry.com erroneously. His wife was: Lucille Atwood Cody and his father was Edward F Sr. b. 29 Apr 1858 in Delphi, Carroll Co., IN. His Mother's name was Josephine Smith. Edward Sr. had a brother John, who was also b. IN and EF, Sr., Josephine and John are all buried in IN at St. Vincent's. My maternal grandfather {Edward Francis Cody, Jr.} grandfather was John Cody b. Ireland c. 1825 and he married Mary Black, b. Ireland c. 1827. Mary is also buried in St. Vincent's in Logansport. To date I have been unable to find where my gg grandfather, John Cody is buried. But I have family papers and census that show he and Mary were b. Ireland. The info I saw on Ancestry said the source was from: Tom McLehaney "Descendents of Charles Harrison Cody." I do not feel this is accurate, however, am open to correction with documentation. I have been trying to find out "where" in Ireland John and Mary Black Cody came from.
Many thanks & Blessings.

Hopefully you are still a member of ancestry.com and could actually help me out. While I do not, unfortunately, know anything about your grandfather, your grandmother's name looks familiar. Do you know anything else about her? Does she have any siblings named Heliadore, Florian, Julienne, etc? And are her parents' names Cyprien and Elizabeth? I am aware it has been six years since you posted this, but I thought I would take a chance. I hope you have found what you had been looking for. Thank you.

No new info on John Cody - Minta Abbott I got a little further on. Minta is daughter of Nathan Abbott who is the son of Lucius and Lydia Abbot (name changed to Abbott after death of Lucius according to the 1860 census). Both Lucius and Lydia where born in New Hampshire but raised their children Hartford Windsor, Vermont. Lucius died between 1850-1860 - Lydia is recorded last (with son Nathan) in Moretown, Washington, Vermont. Lucius born about 1803, Lydia born about 1802. Lydia lists in the 1880 census that both her parents where born in New Hampshire, Where you able to make any more connections?
