Looking for any data, connections, or places to research for
Michael Cody who married Johanna Ryan about 1865 in Ireland. Johanna Ryan lived in Tipperary County in or near Cashel.
They had 3 known children in Ireland, John Cody B: abt 1867/68, Thomas Cody B: 1870 & Alice B: 1871.
By 1882 they were located in Peru, Indiana where they had one more child, Mary Ann Cody B; 1882.
They seem to have some connection to a Cody family in California and also to a family named Collins.
Any help will be most welcome. Thank you! Carole

Looking for connections with Hattie Cody Shipp. Given the fact that Hattie was born 1875 in Marion County Georgia and died in Lubbock County Texas, I am sure
that there is a connection to the Robert Dale Cody and Allen Cody line that came to the area at about the same time. To date I am unable to hook Hattie to any of the Cody families in the area. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Recently I found a 1910 census showing E F Cody age 52 m. Caroline age 54 w/ Joseph, son age 18 and Marie, daughter age 15. Then I found a marriage of E F Cody & Caroline McGrew on 23 Apr 1909 in Fulton Co., IN. NO ONE has ever mentioned EF marrying the 2nd time but the census showing son Joseph and daughter Marie would seem to indicate this is the same person!
Mary Black Cody d. abt 1888 in Logansport. EF Cody and Josephine Smith along with John T. Cody [brother of EF] are all buried in the Catholic cemetery in Logansport, Cass Co.
I know that John Cody and Mary Black Cody were in Delphi, Fulton Co., IN at least by 1858.

Paul,
I'm afraid I don't know anything about John W. Cody except that a Springfield, Missouri census indicated that he was born in Texas. I believe he was born in 1881 and died in Missouri in 1964-65(?) I have discovered extensive information on my grandmother's side of the family but met a dead end with my grandfather (John).

What other information do you have? Born in what county in Texas?
Have you run the census on him? Let me know and see if I have anything in my data base on him or if he is from Tennessee or Oklahoma.

I sure would like to know more about the John Cody that you have in your family. Was he from Mississippi, Alabama or Georgia? One John settled in La and moved on into Texas where he died but left a family behind. Any info. would help.
There was one John that I know who moved from Simpson County, MS into LA and then Texas.

Where was the family located? What state? This will help establish the kinship to certain families in that area.
