I am looking for a lost branch of the family. Walter Cody was born in Prince Edward Island, Canada, in 1882. He settled in Maine. Location unknown. I am interested in hearing from anyone with this name in their files.
Hello,
We have very scant info to go on. Looking for any connections to Gratia
CODY, presumably lived in New England in the late 1700s/ early 1800's. She
married a man with the surname BURKE. Around 1809 they had a daughter,
Susan Gratia BURKE (in Vermont or New Hampshire). This daughter marrried in
Indiana in 1836 to Jacob HUNTINGTON, and subsequently (before 1875) moved to
Washington territory/state. (Please e-mail me directly)

Hi
We have a Cynthia, Sntha, and etc (many spellings) Cody in our line too.
In fact our Cynthia would be my husband's paternal grandmother. Even
though she was to have married a Charlie Ramsey or concieved my
father-in-law by him, his children carry the name Cody instead of Ramsey. A
mystery to me.
My father-in-law a McKinley Cody married Elizabeth Tilson from Mars Hill,
North Carolina. They lived, for awhile, in Akron, Ohio, Hot Springs
North Carolin and Paint Rock, N.C. .
I hope this helps. I have been looking for information about Cynthia for a
long time. My sister-in-law research her many years ago and thought her
name was Snyth or Sith. I thought it was a shortening of her name and have
research every name I could think of corresponding to the name Cynthia.
I guess this could just be a shot in the dark because I've never heard of
Andrew Jackson in our line. Or a Nelson Butcher either so maybe we are not
on the same line. My father-in-law was McKinley Cody if that's a help
