Hello my fellow researchers, I have updated my web site containing my family
history. About 95% of the people are related in someway to my wife or myself
(The others are parents of wives or husbands and such). While it contains
the names of living people, no information or pictures are shown. I have
only been doing this for a few years. I hope that you will enjoy looking at
the information. I am sending this to all the sites I subscribe to, hoping
for feed back and new and undated information. If you have pictures of some
of these people I would love to have a copy to post. There are over 10,000
pages of data. Here are some of the names and locations, Talbot, Talbott,
Talbert, Horn, Horne, Sapp, Coody, Holder, Myers, Mason, Gooden, Ansell,
Shazer, Shozer, Huey, Collins, Hickle, Ticsnel, Deavers, Shifflett, Roach,
De Vers, Taverner, Neale, Devere, McDaniel, Wood, Dean, Kimble, Batton. Here
are some of the areas of the family. Fairfax Co., Va., Rockingham Co., Va.,
and other parts of Va. Fayette Co., Pa., Uniontown Pa. Georgia, Dodge Co.,
South Carolina.

I was sent a copy of a NC census from 1790 or 1800 that had a Pierce Cody if Rowan CO. Some members of this family migrated westward to KY, TN, then onto TX & CA.

I am sure that I have responded to this before but just in case I will now do so. John Cody (son of James & Sarah Womack Cody) left Georgia and moved into Pike County, Alabama where settled. Sarah married Mr. Dossett and left for Jones County, Mississippi where they settled. John died and is buried somewhere in Pike County, Alabama (it split so maybe in some other county)but I have never been able to find the grave of John , Sr. his son is buried near Luverne Alabama.I wish that I could find John,Sr. grave.

Would like to write to you on this family. I am interested in the family and would like to know what you have them. Your William probably came out of Marion County, Alabama or Monroe County, Mississippi. The Counties attach to each other. This could have been the grandchildren of James A. Cody of Marion County, Alabama. I still have not found any of the children from that line for certain.
