Hi Heather,
Her maiden was Spelicy, I do not have her parents names nor the name of her husband. She was listed on the 1930 census for Kentucky as a granddaughter (Evelyn Spelicy age 25) of a Thomas Spelicy.
Then I have her in an obit from 1958 for a James Spelicy as his neice. It list her as Evelyn Cody living in Hyde Park Cincinnati, Ohio. I do have her birth as Aug 1904 and a SS death as Aug 1999. This is all I have for her. Wanting to make contact with any family members that might have info on her Spelicy family.

Hi Maureen,
A little more information would be helpful:
Is CODY her maiden name?
What was her husband's name?
Do you know her parents' names?
I have a few CODY resources at my home that I can check:
1. The Cody Family in America, 1698 - Descendants of Phillip and Martha Massachusetts
2. The Cody Family Directory-Handbook, 1941
3. The Directory of the Cody Family, 1964
4. The Directory of the Cody Family, 1969
If you can provide a little more information, I can check my books for you.
Kind regards,
Heather

Am searching for any relatives of Evelyn. She was born 1904 in Kentucky, lived in the Cincinnati, Ohio area in the 1950's. Married a Cody somewhere between 1930 & 1950. She died Aug 1999. Her grandfather is our connection.

Subject: cody of annsgrove, tipperary
greetings,
john cody and brother patrick cody worked the australian goldfields in the
1850s (john's birth year not known but brother patrick was born circa
1830).
john cody stayed in australia and married - wife's name unknown. he and
wife had at least one child - name and sex unknown.
brother patrick cody returned to ireland and married mary hanley. the
marriage took place in 1867 in the civil parish of glenkeen (church parish
of borrisoleigh). james cody was a witness (patrick's brother?).
patrick cody and mary hanley lived in the church parish of clonoulty
(civil parish of clogher). their home was called 'annsgrove.' they had 14
children. edmond cody (another brother?) was a christening sponsor for one
of the children in 1869.
patrick cody and mary hanley had a son john, born 1870, who left ireland
for australia.
would like to learn more about patrick's family.
what happened to brother john in australia? what happened to son john in
australia? were james and edmond brothers of patrick? what happened to
them?
so many questions, so little time.
if you got this far, thanks for reading. if you have suggestions, even
better.
